Miroslav Misa Savic (born 1954) is a highly regarded and well respected composer in his native Serbia, it is a rare treat for the Wolfart to present such an exceptional musician.
Over the course of the last thirty years he has realized over a hundred piano, solo instrumental, chamber, orchestral and electro accoustic compositions.
In the mid seventies and eighties he was the Director of the Music Programme in the University Cultural Centre (SKC) of Belgrade, and organized activities related to the Minimal Music Movement. Nowadays in addition to significant activity in the area of organization of musical life, Miroslav Misa Savic is currently “Professor of Electronic Music” at the New Academy of Arts Belgrade, “Professor for Music Production” in MS ‘‘Kosta Manojlovic’‘, and also a music editor at SKC, Belgrade, Serbia.
His varied output has crossed fields and genres, creating works in minimal, electronic, experimental, multimedia and other forms of new music.
Among some of these projects are: theatre (“Trinidad”, author and performer), modern dance productions (“Two”, “Ikars flight”, Signs nearby the road” for dance group Mimart), movies “Vizantian blue”, “Metropolis”, “The land of love, truth and freedom” and “South – South East” as well as participating in various multimedia co-author projects together with other artists.
